Java Applet
Projectile motion
can be observed from two different frames of reference, a stationary one and
a free falling one.
3 units = 20 m If you use this Applet frequently or if you are
having ideas for further Applets, please send me an email. Thank you!

initial speed of
projectile[ m/s ] |
Click onto "Start" to start
the simulation. A click onto "Rest" completely resets the simulation
and cleans the output. Clicking onto "Pause" stops the simulation
temporarily. To resume it, click onto "Start" again.
To change the initial angle and velocity of the projectile, type the desired
value into the appropriate box and confirm
with the Return key.

Notes
- The position of the mass is computed with
numerical methods. Up to now the simple and less accurate Newton algorithm
is used. It usually works fine, but in some special situations errors can
and will occur (like in every numerical computation). If there is a need
to implement a Runge Kutta 4 algorithm instead, please tell me.
- The next release of this applet will include
Newton and Stokes damping (can be activated and deactivated).
